Week 3 - Line and Pattern

F/8.0  Shutter: 1/400 ISO:200

This photo is a pattern, i found a palm tree and filled the frame the cut branches. I could of made this better by backing away and filling the frame with more branches.

F/8.0  Shutter: 1/200  ISO:200

This photo is also a pattern, but this one is a broken pattern, the missing tiles' disrupts the formation. theres a little bit of negative space from the sky.
F/8.0  Shutter: 1/400  ISO:200

Photo 1 out of 3 is a leading line photo. I used this power line cause it had a clear view to help your eye follow it down the street.

F/8.0  Shutter: 1/400  ISO:200

Photo 2 out of 3 is also a leading lines photo, theres a cross over of lines which pulls your eyes in different directions and confuses the eye.

F/8.0  Shutter: 1/200  ISO:200

Photo 3 out of 3 is also leading line, the shadow along the bridge pulls your eyes to follow it and then the path almost takes over and leads your eye further into the photo.
F/8.0  Shutter: 1/200  ISO:200

This photo is an environmental shot, the shadow from the bridge works as leading line and my subjects gaze helps to pull the eye down. I could of had a secondary subject below the bridge but forgot.
F/11.0  Shutter: 1/500  ISO:400

For this photo i used the partical metreting because my camera didn't have spot metering, i had to adjust my ISO and other settings to capture the picture. the difference in these photos is the shutter speed,  i used a high shutter speed of 1/500 so i could let more light into this photo so the exposure meter was on the 0.

F/11.0  Shutter: 1/250  ISO:400

For this photo i used the evaluative metering. I had to adjust the ISO and other settings to capture the picture. The difference in these photos is the shutter speed, i used a slower shutter of 1/250 to try and let more light in but it still wasnt enough. I could of adjusted something else like the ISO or F-stop.
