Week 2 - Digital tech 1

Aperture Exercise - Using Camera RAW

After: I opened it in Camera RAW i dropped the exposure down a little bit to -1.55 and dropped the highlights and shadows and increased the clarity to +39.

Before: I found this photo a bit overexposed, my F/ 4.5, Shutter speed was 1/25 and my ISO was 200

After: I opened this photo in camera RAW and lowered the exposure a little, not wanting to make it to unnaturally dark, i also dropped the highlights a little.

Before: I thought this photo was a little bright. myF/22, Shutter Speed was 0.5 and my ISO was 800

After: I opened the photo in camera RAW and i put the contrast up to +32 which got rid of the yellow tint and i raised the vibrance to get a little more natural colour back into the photo.

Before: This photo looked unnaturally warm and there is a man in the background who takes your eye of the children.

Before: This photo also looks a little unnaturally warm.

After: I opened this photo onto camera RAW and moved the contrast down a little. I also used the colour dropper tool to find a close to natural  shade for this photo.

After: I opened this photo in camera RA.W. I increased the exposure, lowered the contrast, increased the shadows to lighten shadowy areas and decreased the highlights in order to put more natural colour back into the photo.

Before: This photo of the beach was nice but in the bottom left hand corner its very dark and you cant really see any detail.

After: I opened this photo into camera RAW and bought up the exposure to +.50 and brought the highlights down a little and took the shadows up to +27. These changes gave the photo a more natural look.

before: For this photo we had to make this look more natural

After: I opened this photo in camera RAW and bought up the exposure, lowered the contrast all the way down to -100 to put more detail back into the sky. I lowered the highlights and put the vibrance up to +100 to put some colour back into the photo.

Before: This photo was dull and detail had disappeared from the sky a little.

Self directed

After: I opened this photo into camera RAW and brought the exposure up to +2.70  and brought the contrast up a little as well, i lowered the highlights and brightened the shadows to pull some detail out from under the branch.

Before: This photo of a mossy tree trunk was really underexposed and the color and patterns on the branch aren't as visible.

After: I opened this photo into camera RAW and started off by decreasing the exposure and lightened the shadows. You can see the outlines and her face a little more which gives it an even creepier look.

Before: This photo was a little overexposed but i still liked it cause she looked more ghostly.
