Artist Research week 6 - Tina Barney

Tina Barney (born 1945, New York City) is an American artist photographer best known for her large-scale, color portraits of her family and close friends, many of whom are well-to-do denizens.

Tina used flash and soft boxes in these works, you can tell by the first and second photos, the light from the flash can be harsh in some lights so using a soft box with her flash cuts the light in the photos to still light up the photos but have a softer light.like in the left one were the soft box would of been positioned on the left hand side of the subject.
