Week 3 - Manual, Framing and composition

F/5.6  Shutter:1/200  ISO:100

This photo is a close crop, i used a  F-stop of 5.6 which gave me a narrow DOF. I used the sunlight to highlight the side of her face and make her stand out more as a subject.

F/4.5  Shutter:1/200 ISO:100

This second photo i widened the area around the subject, I used a F-stop of 4.5 which gave me a little wider DOF. i got down low so i could be eye level with the subject but i cut the feet out of the photo which isn't ideal for this photo.

F/4.5  Shutter: 1/100  ISO: 100

Photo 1 out of 3 is a rule of thirds photo, the flowers themselves are located on the bottom right intersection. I like the placement because the top of the photo i could fit more detail from the branches in.

F/4.5  Shutter: 1/200  ISO: 100

Photo 2 out of 3 is also a rule of thirds photo, The small flowers at the bottom are on the lower left hand intersection. I think i could of chosen a better subject because in this photo you cant tell what flower is the subject.

F/5.0  Shutter:1/80  ISO: 100

Photo 3/3 is also a rule of thirds photo, i used the small hole in the tree and put it on the lower right hand intersection. I like were i positioned it because you can see more tree than you would if it was on one of the top intersections.

F/4.5  Shutter: 1/60 ISO: 100

Photo 1/3 is on the top Rule of thirds horizon line, this isn't really an ideal photo cause theres no sky and it makes me feel small and almost trapped.

F/4.5  Shutter: 1/60 ISO: 100

Photo 2/3 is on the bottom Rule of thirds horizon line, i think this photo is better than the one above because you can see more sky and it just feels balanced.

F/4.5  Shutter: 1/60 ISO: 100

Photo 3/3 is in between the top and bottom horizon line, i think this photo is okay but i could fix this by opening it into camera RAW and straightening it.

F/4.5  Shutter: 1/320  ISO: 100

This photo is the widened frame, i zoomed away from the ball and captured the rubbish and mud tracks. i like this far crop cause your eye is drawn right to the ball cause of the pop of yellow.

F/5.6  Shutter: 1/320  ISO: 100

This photo is a close crop, i used a F/ of 5.6 which gave me a little detail in the background. I like this photo cause of the yellow ball, the area was muddy and dirty; since the colour yellow is a happy colour is kinda makes you smile.
F/4.5  Shutter:1/125  ISO: 100

This photo is a Bernd and Hilla Becher insperation, below is a photo which the couple did and above is my one. I could of improved this by maybe taking it into Camera RAW and making it more dull or even grayscale.
